iFanzy is an interactive cross-platform EPG designed to bring personalization to the new generation of content consumers. The viewer is provided with an offer of programs selected especially for this person, based on his or her personal interests or the mood he or she is in.
iFanzy basically tries to bring the right content to the right person on the right time, trying to counter the looming content explosion which will make current television zapping inadequate. To complete the personalized experience users are able to change various parameters of the interface, content sharing and recommendations made.
iFanzy recommends and presents (live and on demand) television / video content while observing user behavior in order to fine-tune and improve recommendation strategies. Since users tend to have different preferences on different times, locations and among other people, iFanzy also takes implicit user context feedback into account next to the regular explicit preferences.
